The goal of the Obelisk committee is to continue with fundraisers and
sponsorships in order to obtain an estimated $100,000 to $200,000.
The
cost to install, protect, landscape, and maintain these monuments
for years to
come is a task during this economy shortfalls. We want to
thank the City
of Chicago, State of Illinois, and our sponsors and donors
thus-far for
their support. We encourage community businesses and residents
to participate
in anyway possible. THE ULTIMATE GOAL IS TO PROMOTE TOURISM,
IDENTIFY
BRONZEVILLE'S RICH HERITAGE, AND CREATE EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS
